Reports to: SVP of Finance
Employment: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Maplewood, NJ; minimum of 2 days in office required

StationMD is a telehealth company dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). All StationMD clinicians are board-certified and specially trained to treat individuals with I/DD. Clinicians are available 24/7 via telemedicine for urgent and non-urgent medical matters. StationMD also offers scheduled psychiatry telemedicine to individuals with I/DD. In providing this suite of services, StationMD enables individuals with I/DD faster access to high-quality care and substantially reduces unnecessary medical costs.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and advanced Excel skills. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close process
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Post cash receipts, payroll entries and journal entries to General Ledger
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information
  • Assist with accounts payable, payroll and accounts receivable
  • Perform other accounting ad hoc duties and analysis as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years accounting experience in related field
  • BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or related field of study
  • Proficient in Microsoft office including advanced skills in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
  • Experience with QuickBooks is required
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis (FPA) is preferred, which includes budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple deliverables
  • Ability to proactively identify and assist in implementing opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Critical thinker with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Energy and passion for increasing access to quality healthcare and improving the quality of life for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
