What is StationMD?

StationMD is a telehealth company dedicated to serving individuals with IDD. All StationMD clinicians are board-certified and specially trained to treat individuals with IDD. Clinicians are available 24/7 via telemedicine for urgent and non-urgent medical matters. StationMD enables individuals with IDD faster access to high quality care, which improves quality of life for them and their circles of support.

Who in New Mexico is Eligible to Use StationMD?

Any individual who receives home and community-based Waiver services administered by the Developmental Disabilities Supports Division (DDSD) can enroll for StationMD’s telemedicine service at no charge to the individual or provider. Services are currently paid for by the Health Care Authority (HCA).

When Do You Use StationMD?

Once a home and community-based Waiver recipient is enrolled for StationMD’s service, they can start a telemedicine visit anytime, day or night, whenever they need an IDD-specialized clinician’s attention, including:

To determine if a trip to the ER is necessary

Fever, vomiting, cough, congestion, & seasonal illness

Seizures, falls, & minor injuries

Prescription refills, general medical guidance

Urinary tract infections, constipation, & diarrhea

Pink Eye, allergies, & migraines

Rashes, cuts, bruises, sores, and minor burns

Enrollment Instructions for People on the DD Waiver

Step 1: Policy Approval and Enrollment
- Complete a policy form and an agency worksheet, and then submit both documents to Regional Office Bureau Chief, Angie Brooks (angie.brooks@hca.nm.gov). To get a copy of the agency worksheet and to request help completing the policy form, please contact StationMD at clientservices@stationmd.com. Step 2: Implementation
- Once your policy and agency worksheets are approved, a StationMD representative will contact you to confirm your enrollment and to help you start using the service.
Step 3: Start Using StationMD
- Enrolled individuals can start a telemedicine visit with StationMD 24 hours a day for any medical concern.

Enrollment Instructions for People on the Mi Via and Medically Fragile Waivers

Step 1: Complete and Submit Enrollment Form
- Please complete and submit this enrollment form.
Step 2: Start Using StationMD
- Once the completed enrollment form has been submitted, you are considered enrolled and can start using StationMD immediately, 24 hours a day for any medical concern.

How to Start a Telemedicine Visit with a StationMD Doctor:

Enrolled individuals can start a telemedicine visit with StationMD 24 hours a day for any medical concern. Just follow these steps:

Call StationMD at 1-877-STATMDS (1-877-782-8637)

The StationMD receptionist will collect patient information (please have insurance & Medicaid information ready)

A StationMD technical assistance will help the individual and/or caregiver complete patient check-in from a smart device (Android, iPhone, iPad, or tablet)

The StationMD clinician will join momentarily

How StationMD Supports Provider Agencies

Therap access
- For patients on the DD Waiver, StationMD has state-level view access to Therap, enabling our clinicians to review medical records, current medications, and diagnoses during the telemedicine visit. After each visit is completed, encounter summaries are automatically uploaded to the Therap appointment section.

Tailored operational support
- We provide customized support and training tailored to your organization’s specific needs, ensuring smooth integration and efficient use of our services.

Reduces costs and caregiver stress
- With StationMD’s 24/7 availability for questions and assistance, we help agencies and their staff lower stress levels and enjoy their jobs more. By decreasing ER visits, staff overtime and transportation requirements are minimized.
