StationMD is a telehealth company dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). All StationMD clinicians are board-certified and specially trained to treat individuals with I/DD. Clinicians are available 24/7 via telemedicine for urgent and non-urgent medical matters. The Licensing Credentialing Specialist processes license requests for clinicians and other medical providers. This position requires someone with mulit-state clinician licensing and credentialing experience. This position partners with internal teams, clinicians, and state medical boards to assist in obtaining state licenses for medical providers. This is a fast-paced position that requires a high level of critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently. The Licensing Credentialing Specialist should be very resourceful and familiar with state medical licensing boards. They should be able to take initiative on formatting plans and execute on fulfilling licensure requirements for each StationMD clinician. They are responsible for compiling required documents, researching necessary information, and interacting with licensing boards and clinicians to obtain medical licenses in states where providers may be placed on assignment to practice telemedicine. They ensure licenses are always maintained, kept in good standing, and not expired.
The Licensing Credentialing Specialist will focus on processing new and renewal licensure, as well as monitoring and renewing active licensure across our nationwide practice.
In the role of Licensing Credentialing Specialist, you will:
•Complete provider credentialing and re-credentialing licensing applications within stateguidelines
•Monitor provider license application statuses; conduct follow-up and problem resolution
•Coordinate with practice leadership, the licensing credentialing vendor, and providers tocomplete licensing process, including any additional documentation, information, or applications
•Track license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals
•Maintain accuracy of provider data in credentialing database systems
• Ensure strict confidentiality of credentialing licensing files and databases
• Keep management informed of progress and escalate issues as needed related to license/DEA & CDS status
• Follow up and maintain effective communication with clinicians, StationMD management staff, and state licensing boards to ensure the necessary information is gathered and processed within specified time constraints
• Uphold all credentialing specific policies and procedures
• Maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers
• Complete renewal process for (DEA/CDS) controlled substance registrations and state licenses as requested based on rules from PHE and afterwards
• Coordinate completion of all requirement documents and forms for state licensure with our 3rd party credentialing company.
• Set up and maintain provider information in online credentialing databases and systems
• Monitor all tasks assigned to both administrator and clinician within the online credentialing database ensuring items are completed timely and all deadlines are met
• Assist all clinicians through the licensing process from start to finish
• A certification in licensing and credentialing is preferred, but not necessary.
• 5+ years of experience in licensure processing (both initial application submission & renewal submission to state medical boards)
• Experience with multi-state and initial state licensure applications submission process for multi-state practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities/projects at one time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos, and emails
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to meeting all deadlines and deliverables/goals
• Ability to research and analyze data independently
• Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization
• Proficient use of DocuSign, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), and internet resources (State & Federal Board websites)
• Experience with electronic profile systems used to track provider licensure and certificates details
• Knowledge and comprehension of the credentialing process
• Familiarity with credentialing software applications is a plus
